The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, together with the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic, have prepared a National Project to Support the Integration of Third-Country Nationals and Migrants into Slovak society. The project will provide financial contributions to local government and non-profit organizations for implementing socio-economic integration activities for the benefit of third-country nationals, including migrants with legal residence in the Slovak Republic, with the aim of their long-term integration into society.
The National Project to Support the Integration of Third-Country Nationals and Migrants into Slovak society will support: a) the provision of general information and advice, particularly in the areas of employment, education, healthcare, housing, social security, or the exercise of legal rights in general, b) the provision of activities and programmes created to increase the effectiveness of integration support, particularly in the areas of employment, education, healthcare (including psychological and social support), housing, social security, culture, sports, or the exercise of legal rights in general, c) activities and programmes at the community level and community organisation, d) information and awareness-raising activities aimed at the general public, e) the provision of instruction and support, methodological and coordination activities. Eligible applicants are local government organizations and non-governmental non-profit organizations. The applicant for participation must comply with the condition that the total number of hours worked for all job positions declared in the Application for Participation will be at least 1,720 hours and at most 17,200 hours. Total eligible expenditure is estimated at €13.61 million.
As of 31.7.2024, 26 applications from local government and non-profit organizations were approved, and as of 31.10.2024, another 30 applications from local government and non-profit organizations were approved. The financial amount of the contributions was not disclosed.
