On 9 August 2023, the government approved Resolution No. 389/2023 on the reimbursement of expenses related to rescue work during the emergency situation in the years 2021 to 2023 in the territorial jurisdiction of 21 district offices within the entire territory of Slovakia. The relevant funds were transferred from the General treasury management chapter to the budget chapter of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic and subsequently transferred to the budgets of selected authorities according to the verification of expenses for rescue work.
The validity, correctness and adequacy of the submitted requirements were verified by the district authorities in accordance with the Act on Civil Protection, Decree of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic No. 523/2006 Coll. on details for ensuring rescue work and organizing civil protection units and Decree of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic no. 599/2006 Coll., which establishes details of expenditures for civil protection of the population from the state budget. These were the extraordinary events:
Funds spent on rescue work during the emergency were approved in the amount of €2,619,536.19.
