Background information

On 8 March 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the amendments proposed by the Ministry of Economy to the support program for increasing the energy efficiency of private houses (Cabinet Regulations No. 103 Regulations on the support program for renovation of one-apartment residential houses and two-apartment residential houses and increasing energy efficiency), allocating additional funding of €3.27 million for the continuation of the program, and expanding the range of potential beneficiaries. Development Finance Institution Altum is managing the program.

Content of measure

The program intends to support the following activities:

• carrying out construction works in the enclosing constructions of the residential house (insulation);
• purchase, renovation, reconstruction or creation of engineering systems (heating and ventilation equipment);
• purchase and installation of new water heating equipment;
• purchase and installation of thermal energy technological equipment to ensure heat energy production from renewable energy resources.

In order to receive support, the heating consumption level of a residential house must be reduced, ensuring an increase in the energy efficiency class to at least class C and a reduction in heating consumption by at least 20%.

The amount of support is €1,000 for technical assistance and €5,000 grant, which is paid out after the implementation of energy efficiency improvement measures. A person who has at least one dependent child or who is pregnant (or father of the expected child) is eligible to apply for the support.

Use of measure

It is planned to provide support to an average of 500 private houses per year (including for Installation of electricity production equipment).
