With a view to support the adaptation of workplaces for people with disabilities with a working capacity below 50%, the Regional Labour Agency issued a call for demands covering a number of workplace adaptation measures, including changes linked to the COVID-19 health emergency (Decision no. 786 of 15 may 2020).
The measure was introduced by the Emilia Romagna's Regional Employment Agency , which is responsible for regional employment policies. It covers workplace adaptation interventions aimed to preserve employment of people with disabilities implemented after 23 February 2020, if linked to the COVID-19 emergency. Requests can be submitted by private and public employers. Public employers can participate only for purchasing or adapting phone exchanges to allow the employment of blind workers. The total amount of resources available is €300,000. The measure is funded by the Regional Fund for the employment of workers with disabilities. The interventions should cover workers with disabilities reducing their working capacity below 50%.
