Background information

The supplier of high precision machining for the aerospace and aeronautics sector LMA Aerospace Technology with seat in Pianezza (Turin) converted its production to respond to the new market requests of protective instruments and sanitisation devices. In particular, the company started the production of a mask and a device for the disinfection and sanitization of environments.

Content of measure

LMA Aerospace Technology developed a new division for exploiting the new market demands connected with the COVID-19 emergency. In particular, the company designed a transparent, washable and reusable silicone mask, especially thought for two types of use. First, within classrooms, as its being transparent facilitates communication between students and teachers. Second, by hearing impaired people, as it allows perfect reading of the lips. For this product, the company was awarded a prize by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin as "best example of productive reconversion with attention to the weakest and most fragile categories". The second product innovation developed by the company was da evice for the disinfection and sanitization of public and private environments through the nebulisation of of hydrogen peroxide.
