The Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ) announced on 14 December 2023 the start of applications for 50,000 unemployed individuals to participate in a training program in digital or green skills. The aim of the program is to link training with the needs of the labor market and to enhance the employability of the unemployed for their faster reintegration into employment, within the framework of the digital and green transition of the economy. The program is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 'Greece 2.0' with funding from the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
On 15 December2023, the submission of applications for unemployed individuals to enroll in training programs was launched by the Public Employment Service (ΔΥΠΑ). 50.000 unemployed individuals who have registered in the Beneficiary Register of the second round of the 'I invest in my future' program are eligible to participate. They will select the training program they wish to attend from a list of approved programs on the website: http://voucher.gov.gr/ (voucher.gov.gr homepage). The programs will be displayed according to educational level (mandatory, secondary, tertiary education graduates) as well as other academic qualifications declared by the candidates. The training focuses on green or digital skills, with a total duration of up to 200 hours. It will be conducted through face-to-face training for at least 35% of the total hours, distance learning (tele-training) for at least 35%, and up to 30% through asynchronous remote training. After completing the training, beneficiaries will participate in knowledge and skills certification exams by independent bodies. Those who pass will receive educational compensation of up to €1,000 (€5 per training hour).
Beneficiaries of the measure will be 50,000 unemployed individuals from all over Greece.
