The Ministry of Environment and Energy with the decision No 52385/774 on 12 May 2023 (Government Gazette 3156/12.5.2023), launched the first programme in Greece, "Produc-E Green", in order to subsidize the development of productive activities in the sectors relating to the energy transition.
The object of the Produc-E Green action is to support investment projects for the production of goods in the field of green industry, with an emphasis on the production sector of electricfication, renewable energy sources as well as products and goods intended for energy saving.
The programme is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Fund and aims to support the creation of a domestic value chain in sectors from the entire spectrum of the "green" economy, so that a part of the relevant equipment to be produced in Greece instead of being imported.
The "Produc-E Green" program concerns the subsidy with a percentage of up to 70% of companies that wish to be active in the production of:
The subsidy concerns the construction or purchase or expansion - modernization of building facilities, the supply of mechanical equipment and the construction of technical facilities, the supply of equipment for research and product development, the supply of software.
Beneficiaries of the program are new or existing companies, of any legal form and size, that carry out or will carry out production activity in branches of development or exploitation of renewable forms of energy.
The grant rate per beneficiary depends on the location of the investment and the size of the company.

The Beneficiaries must submit an application from 30 May until 30 November 2023. The total cost of the programme will cover up to €200 million.

On 14 February 2024, a new extension for the submission of proposals for the "Produc-e Green" programme was announced, extending the deadline until 15 March 2024. Additionally, eligible fields of activity were expanded with new categories such as: Construction of other electronic and electrical wires and cables and Shipbuilding, and Floating constructions |
