Tent France, a national NGO, and the Interministerial Delegation for the Reception and Integration of Refugees (Délégation interministérielle à l’accueil et à l’intégration des réfugiés – DIAIR) signed, in 2016, the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a partnership agreement to better support the economic integration of refugees by assisting companies given that 22% of refugees in France remain unemployed after receiving their residence permits.
The Tent Partnership for Refugees, created in 2016, aims to mobilize employers to improve refugees' access to the labour market by involving stakeholders in social dialogue. Tent France currently has a network of more than 30 large companies participating in the partnership. The partnership seeks to enhance coordination between the NGO and the Interministerial Delegation for the Reception and Integration of Refugees in order to increase the effectiveness of their programs. It also facilitates the exchange of information among companies in the Tent network regarding refugees. These measures aim to strengthen economic integration, a key pillar of successful integration into a country. Indeed, the unemployment rate among refugees in France remains too high.
The Tent Network has 45 large entreprises in it's network. No current information are yet available on the partnership's implementation or effectiveness.
