This agreement, signed for the logistics sites of the ERAM shoe shop chain, sets out all the measures taken by the company to protect employees during heatwaves. These measures apply the ORSEC guide to health management in the event of heat waves, supplemented by an instruction from the General Directorate of Labour relating to heat wave management, dated 31 May 2022. The agreement reiterates the employer's safety obligations: he ‘must implement the necessary measures to ensure the safety and protect the physical and mental health of workers (article L. 4121-1 of the Labour Code).
The agreement includes measures that are triggered when the public body Météo France places the Maine-et-Loire département, where the warehouse is located, under orange or red alert:
