The growing demand for sustainable business practices has prompted an increasing focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) reporting. Companies, especially SMEs, are under pressure from investors, customers, and banks to align with European sustainability regulations, such as the CSRD. These regulations aim to improve transparency in ESG data, making it critical for SMEs to understand their environmental impact. As SMEs often lack the resources to navigate complex reporting requirements, tools like the Impact Scoring Platform (ISP) offer a simpler, standardized solution to meet these needs. BECI, in collaboration with Greenomy, recognizes the importance of helping its members adapt to these evolving expectations by arranging educational workshops and resources.
On February 20, 2025, Greenomy will host an exclusive workshop for BECI (Brussels Entreprises Commerce and Industry) members focused on ESG reporting, in collaboration with sustainability experts. This workshop aims to provide practical tools to help SMEs prepare for the growing demand for ESG disclosures. The session will offer insights into how SMEs can efficiently comply with ESG reporting requirements using the Impact Scoring Platform (ISP), a standardized tool developed by finance&invest.brussels, PMV, Wallonie Entreprendre, and SFPIM. The ISP simplifies the process by offering a single questionnaire that can be used to respond to various stakeholders, such as banks, investors, and customers. This platform is particularly beneficial for SMEs and start-ups, as it allows them to assess their ESG maturity quickly and easily. Other organizations, including VOKA, UCM, and UNIZO, have also shown interest in the ISP, highlighting its relevance to a wide range of businesses. By attending this workshop, BECI members will gain valuable knowledge on ESG practices, ensuring they are well-prepared for upcoming regulations and the growing sustainability trend.
