With energy prices rising and new, more sustainable business models being developed, many companies are choosing to produce in a more energy and raw material efficient way. The Walloon government wants to support companies when contemplating these types of business decisions with providing expert advice. By doing so it tries to decrease the perceived barriers by companies to take certain steps to become more sustainable.
In order to allow Walloon companies to make the right decisions in their transition towards more sustainable production methods, the Walloon government provides advice via specialised low carbon advisors.
The low-carbon/circular economy advisor is an advisor that helps companies, free of charge, to detect the potential for reducing energy costs and improving circularity within companies.
They will help with drawing up an energetic and ecological balance sheet. Once this diagnosis and balance sheet has been drawn up, the low carbon/circular advisor will work together with the company to identify actions that can be taken to improve on these aspects.
The "low carbon/circular economy advisors" cover the whole of Wallonia.
The uptake of the measure is not known.
