After the first lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in spring, companies were slowly re-starting their businesses in May. In order to support their members with this step, the Federal Economic Chamber initiated a programme for SMEs in which they should be prepared for a "restart" in the regional state of Lower Austria.
The measure consists of an eight-hour consulting service by a certified company consultant, analysing the status quo and elaborating a plan for a successful restart. The following topics are in focus:
The aim of the consultation is to identify problem fields and develop first solutions in cooperation with the business owner. The measure, which costs €720 per consultation/per SME, is sponsored to 75% by the employer organisation, the regional section for Lower Austria of the Federal Economic Chamber.
The following updates to this measure have been made after it came into effect.

As of October 2023, the measure seems to be running only in the province of Lower Austria ("Restart-Check for SMEs and OPEs"). Net costs of up to €720 are subsidised up to 75% by the Lower Austrian branch of the WKO. |
