The purpose of the refugee accommodation allowance is to ensure/mitigate the accommodation of huge number of refugees from Ukraine.
According to §27 k par. 3 of Act no. 91/2010 Coll. on the promotion of tourism, as amended by Act no. 92/2022 Z.z., entrepreneurs, natural and legal persons meeting assigned conditions, will be able to claim a contribution for the provision of accommodation to refugees in connection with the armed conflict in Ukraine.
The allowance is provided to natural or legal persons, who provide accommodation to refugees from Ukraine in their accommodation facility (hotel, guest-house). The subsistence allowance is provided according to the number of accommodation nights. For one night accommodation of a refugee:
The applicant for the contribution submits an application to the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic and signs an agreement on the provision of accommodation for refugees from Ukraine.
The allowance for accommodation of a resident is provided no later than 30 June 2022.
Data on numbers and amounts of paid accommodation allowances are not yet available. The eligible persons were required to submit documents by 7 April 2022.

At its last meeting in year 2022, the Economic and Social Council of the Slovak Republic, as an advisory body to the Government of the Slovak Republic, did not discuss any of the measures in relation to the war in Ukraine and the refugees.
The views of the social partners have not been discussed.
